Over $25,000.00 raised in year six of Tour de T1D! We couldn’t be more thrilled and we are incredibly grateful to our participants (over 150 this year), our volunteers and our awesome sponsors. 2023 brought an epic day of silliness (remember the crazy costumes at the rest stop), full on sunshine, music and noise (our first year with Tour de T1D cowbells), endless smiles and laughter. There were even some tears as we celebrated Team Henry, our top fundraising team, who came together to fundraise for RVH’s Youth Diabetic Clinic. The clinical team at the Clinic helps Henry’s family manage this disease. Such a challenge in a baby diagnosed at 7 months of age. This is the reason we do this!!! Tour de T1D’s annual fundraising has a huge impact on the lives of the youth who live with Type 1 Diabetes in our community. This year, our son, Lukas, celebrates 7 years living with T1D. We are deeply grateful for the support of the Youth Diabetic Team.
